Why Get Paid Blog Hosting ? – Part 2
I will continue with my previous post on the reasons to get and not to get paid hosting for your blog. Read bellow for the continuation.
Will my own domain gain me more users?
In many cases people just want to move becuase they believe their own domain will "make them better bloggers" or make "more visitors". This can be true, i wont deny it, however it is not really guaranteed to happen like this.
Infact it can have the opposite effect. You may want to "make a return" on your investments on hosting that you will just post anything to make sure you have posts (I have done it myself).
A good domain name is memorable so people may return over and over. But content is just as important. People will search hard if they know the content is good so if your members are high already it may be a good move to go private.
Can I do more with my own hosted blog
Does your current free host (or even paid host) give you limitations that stop you from doing things you want to do ? This could be absolutely anything from upload limits to limiting your themes.
If you feel there are things you want to try or do with your blog that your current host will not let you do then perhaps it is worth moving to a paid host or then again it may just be as good to go to paid hosting.
Perhaps you feel that you would feel better putting effort into a blog which you had to pay for, this may be a good reason to go paid (see bellow also).
Do I want to do more?
Pure and simple. Do you really want to move on or do you just feel obliged to ? You never have to move from your free hosting unless you feel it will benifit you directly.
If you dont want to move then dont !
Obviously so many reasons for and against. Make sure you are 100% positive before you go to paid hosting.
Search for Dunbar Domains ... They do a great hosting package for blogs (i use it)
