I never really got my review of Google Chrome done but well I must say I was very impressed with it. It is very light and very fast. Exactly what you want from a browser in my opinion, I use Chrome all the time on my older systems, the laptop and old PC.
But still tend to use FireFox on my main system as I can make FireFox much more adapted to my needs. I can have add-ons for my needs. Before I get into this to much I will move on.
Chrome is overall a great browser however it has been released that Google has placed many different tracking procedures in the browser. These are not something that you should necessarily worry about as they are really only for Google to check Internet trends.
When do users go online, what is the first website they go on, how long are they on for, etc.
All of these are completely anonymous but still unnerving to most people as they feel it breaches their personal space.
However as the browser is so good you really do just want to put up with it and try to ignore the fact that google are “spying” on your every move.
BUT there is now an option! – Iron
Iron is an almost exact replica of Chrome but it has had all of the tracking items removed from it. Leaving only the great browser for you.
As with Chrome it is relatively lightweight and also has the great option of the portable version which can be used from a USB device.
Whats the difference beetwen Iron and Chrome?
Actuality:
The current Beta of Google Chrome uses Version 525.19 of the Rendering-Engine WebKit, how the Browserstring tells. In Iron we obviously use the most actual WebKit-Version (528.5). Privacy:
