New Layout
Well I have been considering getting a new layout online for LM-BLOG for about a month now so finally its done.
I spent probably a quarter of my expected time looking for this layout and when I found it, instantly installed it as I knew it was exactly what I had wanted for the site.
The theme also has the benifit of being much lighter on the bandwidth and CPU so it is much quicker for my users to view.
I hope you all like it and I am open for thoughts and ideas. Also if you know of a theme you think I should use then please link to it via a comment and I will check it out 
Hosts Over Selling
I felt that I should do a post as this situation is one we see every day of the week and s0 many people are caught out by it.
I am speaking of the "over selling" done by 50% of web hosts.
What is it ?
Overselling is where a host offers something but you will not infact ever manage to get that or anything near that. The most common oversell is data storage or bandwidth. If you look at bandwidth oversells you will see something like "10000 GB transfer on a 10mbps network".
This looks as though you can transfer up to 10 mb every second for up to a total of 10000 GB each month. However what they will not tell you is that the 10 mb will be shared and you will only get full access to it at off peak times.
New Layout Online
Okay I have chosen the new layout for the site.
Inanis Glass
It is a very similar layout to the operating system 'Vista' by Microsoft. And yes the layout is also very resource heavy. It will be a dramatic factor on my general bandwidth usage which luckily for me due to my great bond with Dunbar Domains is unmetered.
For any users who feel the site is slow there is an easy way to view a low size version
- Click circle with pencil (bottom left of screen)
- Click change theme (bottom right of popup screen)
- Select the bottom theme (called "Light")
This will stay the same for you everytime provided you accept cookies.
Anyway I hope this new layout will be suitable and I will check how it makes the site perform in the coming weeks.
