Adsense is back

Well I have decided it is time to re-introduce Adsense to my blog in the hope of monetizing the site a little. To both help finance the site and also too give me some extra cash.

What is Adsense ?

Google AdSense is an ad serving application run by Google Inc. Website owners can enroll in this program to enable text, image, and video advertisements on their websites. These advertisements are administered, sorted, and maintained by Google, and they can generate revenue on either a per-click or per-impression basis. Google beta tested a cost-per-action service, but discontinued it in October 2008 in favor of a DoubleClick offering (also owned by Google). In Q1 2011, Google earned US$2.34 billion ($9.36 billion annualized), or 28% of total revenue, through AdSense.

I am going to experement a few different placements, within the layout. Firstly looking at the footer of the page, then moving onto the sidebar (placed roughly where the Adgitize ads are) then I am planning to work the Google Adsense ads into the posts to see how this works.

Entrecard – Should you stay ?

The first thing that I believe will change will be the no received credits for other users clicking. I honestly believe that they will reinstate this system but add a tax to it. PErhaps even a system such as “you must click 50 to recieve your return click points”.
I hope that I am right about this and they do sort it as this is causing everyone to loose hundreds of points and is stopping them buying ads at certain prices (higher).
