Why Get Paid Blog Hosting ? – Part 2

I will continue with my previous post on the reasons to get and not to get paid hosting for your blog. Read bellow for the continuation.

Will my own domain gain me more users?
In many cases people just want to move becuase they believe their own domain will "make them better bloggers" or make "more visitors". This can be true, i wont deny it, however it is not really guaranteed to happen like this.

Infact it can have the opposite effect. You may want to "make a return" on your investments on hosting that you will just post anything to make sure you have posts (I have done it myself).

A good domain name is memorable so people may return over and over. But content is just as important. People will search hard if they know the content is good so if your members are high already it may be a good move to go private.

Why get paid blog hosting ?

A question that so many bloggers ask themselves when they are using a free hosting service. A good question aswell and one that may not always point to getting paid hosting. Here I will look at all the areas you should cover before going to paid hosting for your blog.

Financially
Really before you look at any other reasoning for getting paid I think it is important to look at the financial implications.  Can you afford to pay out the monthly fee ? If no then perhaps it is worth building up your visitors before you move over perhaps your ad revenue will pay for the hosting.

If you are looking to use ad revenue to pay for your hosting then are you guaranteed to get atleast enough for your hosting each month from your ads?

Support Adgitize

2010 looked set to be another memorable year for Adgitize, so far not for the reasons Ken and the team had hoped for.

for those of you who dont know Adgitize recently suffered almost 4 days of continuous downtime and when the site finally came back online users got less than 24 hours of access before the site dropped offline for another day or so.

Every new creation suffers problems and this is just one of Adgitizes problems, a problem which is being overcome and will most likely never happen again. For a small sized company such as Adgitize it takes longer to solve issues which take large companies, such as Google, to fix.

These small issues should not be looked at as "issues" or "problems" of the program but more of a learning exercise for Adgitize, perhaps even for yourself as you may come across a similar issue in the future.  These learning exercises help to improve Adgitize and make it a much stronger and secure system for the future.

Apple Ipad

Apple has put an end to weeks of speculation by unveiling its tablet device, which it has called the iPad.

Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive unveiled the touchscreen device at an event in San Francisco.

Mr Jobs described the tablet, which will cost between $499 and $829 in the US, as a "third category" between smartphones and laptops.

The device, which looks like a large iPhone, can be used to watch films, play games and browse the web.

The firm has also done a deal with publishers including Penguin, Macmillan and Harper Collins to allow e-books to be downloaded directly to the device through a new iBook Store.

"You can download right onto your iPad," said Mr Jobs.

He also showed off magazines and newspapers on the device.

'Gold rush'

He told an audience of journalists, analysts and industry peers that the device lets people "hold the whole web in your hands".
