No Paid EC
For some reason this post was never published, or written for that matter, on LM-BLOG so finally I have changed that and finally I have spent time writing about this change and why I have declined it.
Really the main reason for which I chose to not display paid Entrecard Ads on LM-BLOG was because of my own advertisers. Although the number is low and each ad is only really worth 128 EC points my advertisers are still a very important part of my blog.
Without them I myself would find it much harder to advertise on other blogs, their points give me advertising points to spend.
I want them to get the time they pay for so that they benifit as much as I can let them. They pay for 24hours I want them to get 24hours not the 50% of time the paid scheme offers.
Upsetting my current advertisers may also have caused me major problems in the future, bad feedback etc. This could stop me from getting new or returning advertisers. All of this reducing the value of the entrecard platform.
Finally a much more selfish reason but one I am sure many thought of. I myself was gaining no benifits financially from displaying paid ads. I was using a free platform for advertising as I wished for no money spent. So I really did not want to loose out on money for adspace on my blog.
Tomorow I hope to announce advertising packages for LM-BLOG and mabey if I am lucky also a new template.
