Firefox is no more for me
Okay hopefully this is me back to my full posting but well as always I go down hill badly eventually.
This post is really just a quick comeback post about my use of Firefox.
Up until probably a month ago I would hear no bad spoken of Google Chrome but in the last month I have began to notice how slow Firefox is and how much memory it was taking to do even the simplest of tasks.
I do have a pretty high spec computer so it wasnt bothering the pc to use the resources but I began to wonder if mabey firefox was just starting to loose its edge with age.
With this in mind I transfered to the only other browser I would ever consider... GOOGLE CHROME
So far so good no lagging and memory usage is not to bad on it so we will see how Firefox goes and see what Firefox 4 improves before I will consider going back to Firefox. For now however I am backing Chrome and will hopefully get some tests done for it soon

Since I ‘upgraded’ to FF3.5 I’ve noticed a definite slowing.
I use Opera for my general surfing, but FF for blogs and dropping, as it has the EC toolbar, but I’m thinking of switching too. Meh.

I found that Firefox 3 was something of a step backwards. It was memory hungry and prone to lock-ups. I decided to try a few other browsers, but I found that none of them supported blogspot properly. Surprisingly this included Chrome, which is also a Google product.
I have found FF3.5 to be much better than its predecessor, while it is still memory hungry it is less prone to hanging and it releases the memory that it munches up much quicker.
I check Chrome occasionally to see whether decent support for blogspot authoring has been implemented, so it may end up being my browser of choice.
