I am thankfull to say that Dunbar Domains have stayed true to their word and today we have a blog post with the latest news they have given us.
Our last interview how did it affect Dunbar Domains ?
The last interview which was carried out on LM-BLOG for us was quite alot more benificial than we had expected and there were alot of people coming to us from LM-BLOG. This did us a lot of favours as we had only recently created a blog package which was now being brought totally into use.
A number of people who have never blogged before and also some who have, have chosen to come to us and host with our services. Many were much happier to see our reduced set up fee and increased value for money.
What has changed ?
Well at the current point nothing has changed for new customers, however behind the scenes we are currently setting up our new packages. After much talk with some of our smaller hostees and with all of the staff we came to the conclusion that the packages were to complex and were not the best value for money, they were good value but not amazingly great value.
The end result of this is that we have now reduced almost every single customers monthly hosting bill. Sadly we have had to upgrade our Bronze package customers up to our new starter package which is 50p more expensive than our old Bronze package. But as we value our customers we have decided to make them pay no more.
Bronze > Starter : Old price : £2.50 New Price : £2.50
Silver > Starter : Old price : £5.00 New Price : £3.00
Gold > Starter : Old Price : £7.50 New Price : £3.00Platinum > Professional : Old Price : £10.00 New Price : £7.00
A good deal for all customers and well our Bronze hosters are all very happy as they do get a much better deal at the end of the day. These new packages will be for sale on Monday *or sooner*
We now also have a referral system from which people can sign up to reffer to us and earn commision on each sale they reffer. This is popular among our previous customers and also with those who dont host with us. However as we offer it when you buy hosting also many new customers are just not that interested.
Hopefully by mid-May we will have our multi-buy package, where when you host more than 2 accounts you get discounts and free packages. This is available via email at the moment but a complete package will be online soon.
We are looking at a set fee for 10-30 accounts and 30+ so that if you are in those regions you benifit from the reduced costs.
Why change the packages?
Well as I said above it was mainly done to simplify things, people were not sure if our budget package would suit them and were always requiring advise. Some were ordering Silver or even Gold then using 1% of the bandwidth. We dont like to take your money from you for things you dont need so by offering two great packages it makes it much easier to choose.
The only catch is that if you are a business you need to order our Professional package.
Plus the value for money in our packages is now unbelievable and will benifit each and every customer we get and already have.
Why is this good for us ?
For you, our customers, we want you to see that we value you. We reduce our prices and increase our storage and bandwidth for you and still provide the same great service.
Plus in times of Economic downturn our reduced prices mean that you, our customers save more money and have less to worry about while hosting your websites.
The future, what else will change?
Other than our multi accounts there is nothing more I can say for now, however once they go live I will send a press release.
