Dunbar Domains – Interview June

As promised here is another blog interview by Dunbar Domains Web Hosting.

Hey guys and thanks for doing yet another interview with us
Hello to all at LM-BLOG and of course the most important people your viewers. The interview is really a pleasure for us to do as it helps us get both more coverage and also allows us to finally get a good place to keep in contact with our customers once  a month.

How are the new packages (announced last month) affecting Dunbar Domains?
Well as we said last month the new packages are much, much better value for both our current and our new users. Thankfully our users are showing alot of encouragement on the improvements we have made to Dunbar Domains and their hosting package.

Over the last month or so we have also had a huge increase in the amount of new customers, or even just those who are considering switching over to us.

Most of those in consideration have mainly not moved due to problems with their previous host not helping them transfer their domains and in some cases ignoring emails where users ask for accounts and direct debits to be cancelled.

At Dunbar Domains we always try to help when these problems occur and in most cases we have managed to sort out all client issues within 1 week. However some have chosen to go it alone and fight their own battles, something we totally understand with here at Dunbar Domains.

What else changed last month?
Last month we launched our multi-accounts to the public after two behind the scenes delays. The delays occured when we decided that the packages setup, which took 2 weeks to setup, were really not giving that much of a saving.

We at that point reset all of the multi-accounts and improved the value for money. But again the owner of Dunbar Domains decided that the professional multi-account was not all that good value and we were to work on it again. In the end we got it all online pretty quick but just shows we are here to keep our customers happy!

Any other changes?
Well behind the scenes there was a lot of work done to DD-SURF early in the month to get its forwarding abilitys improved, I believe you featured a post on it. This improvement showed us that it could be a secure and popular proxy and we went back to work getting it online as its own proxy.

However we have had to outsource the hosting for it as we do not wish to put a proxy on our current network as it could cause lagging, something our customers dont deserve.

We also took over Scotbux.co.uk, the proxy which was initially started by a local man, then sold on. Both let the site go badly down hill and both did nothing to fix it, so we have taken over.

A relaunch took place yesterday to both the main site and also the forum. As part of the relaunch we have totally started from scratch with the site so it is a fully brand new ptc in our eyes.

At this point we just hope the users see it that way!!

What changes can we expect in July ?

Well we actually have practically nothing new planned for July as we have a huge amount of expected work for clients. This in ranging from fulll website design to a very simplistic customon mailing list.

If we do finish our clients work we may then look to add new features and addons to Dunbar Domains but there is nothinh planned.

Thanks for the interview oppertunity, its always a pleasure to give LM-BLOG an interview.

Thanks,

Dunbar Domains
