Entrecard – Paid Sponsors Review
As promised here is my review of the $25 sponsored ad on Entrecard, a system I had vowed to never use again. I will look at my own thoughts on the system but I will also give you thoughts and comparisons to my favourite advertising system – Adgitize.
Cost
First thing first, the cost of the Entrecard – Sponsored Ad did not really sound that unreasonable to me. At $25 it is only $1 more than Adgitize but has a guaranteed number of views. The cost for me at first seemed to be good and it was nice to be sure of what I was actually going to get. The one issue I had was that although they gave a cost and number of impressions they left out the period of time that the ad was expected to run.
Ease Of Use

Google sees record $1.6bn profit
Google has reported its highest quarterly profit, suggesting that the internet advertising market is bouncing back from the recession.
Google reported net profit of $1.64bn (£1bn) between July and September, up 27% on the same period a year ago.
“The worst of the recession is clearly behind us,” said Google chief executive Eric Schmidt.
US computer giant IBM also reported strong profits of $3.2bn for the period, up 14% on a year earlier.
The company also delivered a more optimistic forecast for full year earnings.
Management said they too were seeing some stabilisation in the overall economic environment.
‘New advertising’
Revenue at Google for the three-month period came in at $4.38bn, which was well ahead of analysts’ expectations of $4.24bn.
“Because of what we have seen, we now have the confidence to be optimistic about our future,” said Mr Schmidt.

Reduced PS3 Size ++ Cost
Sony Entertainment has announced it is reducing the price of its PlayStation 3 games consoles.
In Europe the price has been lowered to 299 euros, in the US to $299 and in the UK to £249.99.
Sony made the announcement at a press conference ahead of the 2009 games convention – Games Com – in Cologne.
It also announced it was ending production of its current PlayStation 3 console in favour of a new lighter, slimmer model with a 120GB hard drive.

Growth of the PlayStation 3 has been slow compared to previous launches, which critics put down, in part, to an expensive price tag compared with its rivals, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 from £129 and the Nintendo Wii at £169.
Speaking at Games Com, Sony Entertainment’s head, Kaz Hirai, said the change in price for existing PlayStation 3 stock would happen immediately and that the new slim-line PS3 would be available from the first week of September.
