Adgitize – 1 (and a bit) Years On

Okay it is a little over a year since Adgitize was first opened to the public and what a year it has been for Ken and his team. Did anyone expect the growth Adgitize has got over the past year ? What do I think ? That is what this post is all about what I think of Adgitize and its first year or so in business.

After a long period of scripting, testing and planning Adgitize was opened to the public on November 2nd 2008. With this launch came the start of a new way of advertising and monetizing your blog. One mans plans to create a new advertising network have started and almost immediately many people began to try it out and test its potential.

I myself tried the system out over the last few days of December,  however like Ken I seen an issue with the points/earnings systems which I thought may bring down Adgitize later in its life. However no sooner had I thought of it than Ken sorted it. The next month after receiving payout from Adgitize I decided to put online an ad to see if the earning really could improve and whether it was worth it for my blogs.

Has Adgitize met its consumer demands ?

There is really a simple answer to this... Yes

However for the benifit of the post I will explain why. Over the past year many things have changed, be it the number of members  to the amount being paid out (and the ever increasing number of people who are getting paid). Through them all Adgitize has changed anything that has caused issue to them.

Ken and his team are constantly working to improve Adgitize and are not only improving things client side but also for their own staff. They do this because they care about giving us the best service.

The system sticks to its main objectives - Cheap and effective advertising.

What makes them best ?

A good question really, for me it is knowing that I am constantly receiving the best quality service and that if I do have an issue they will sort it with the kind of care and respect that I want to be treated with.

For others it is going to be the payout at the end of the month. IF you have a high traffic blog then even without advertising you are sure to earn at least the minimum payout point. With some of those (working with past months) advertising 1 blog on Adgitize ($14) and then getting $50 back at the end of the month they were receiving monthly profit of $36.
I think for these people that is what makes Adgitize best.

The new pricing of Ads

A topic that has hit us all pretty hard over the past month or so is definitely the new pricing scheme, with so many hating it, it has really affected the Adgitize community.

For those who dont know a monthly ad went from $14 to $24. Why ? This was due to the huge increase in members and the fact that Adgitize were going to need more workers to keep the community clean and functional.

Although only a small change a fair few advertisers have decided to stop advertising on Adgitize for (hopefully only) the time being. Advertisers have gone from 200 down to 150 *roughly*

When you look at the figures this is what could be achieved :

200 ads = $4800 (total income per month) previously : $2800

150 ads = $3600 (total income per month) previously : $2100

For 380 points per day (me at the moment) you get roughly $0.85 per day so it is possible that had advertisers stayed the same I could be earning $1.13 per day

**This is just a thought not any actual figures**

Obviously the raise in price means that even with less advertisers we are still earning more, as many people realize the $10 is worth it I am very sure the number will go back up and earnings will improve drastically.

This gives you a good insight into Adgitize and how I see it 1 year on. I may look at a follow up post in the future but for now I am not sure. Anyway keep watching the blog.
